This is our New NCM Headquarters building! The saying "when God gives vision He makes provision" is coming true before our very eyes. We purchased this 1,500 sq.ft. building at the end of the year. We had people step up and make some huge donations that allowed us to put a large down payment on this building. We had people step up and offer us an interest free loan that we could afford the payments on. THEN we had my home church Desperation Church in Liberty, Mo. step up and offer to make the payments for the first year!

Our "new" NCM van! Made possible by the grace of God through your generous support of this ministry! Our first trip was made on Saturday March 6th, 2010. We delivered sack lunches and clothing, scripture, prayer and compassion. We stopped under bridges and on roadways. We prayed and spent time with several hurting people. We even met up with other brothers and sisters in Christ out doing the same things!

This is our van out on our homeless route. We have added dual wheels for safety and a trailer.

Many people think that the homeless are just reaping what they have sown. I wonder how these kids have "sown" so much, so early in their lives?

This is from John Piper. Ministry to the poor is not merely giving things. It is giving self. It's not just relief. It's relationship.

Our Youth Group after a hard night of making up bags for the homeless.

You are not to old or to young to be involved with God's work! Here is a picture of one of NCM's youngest volunteers. His Grandpa says he makes sure they get the right color comb in the right package. Train up a child in the way he shall go!!!

In the meantime you can reach us at nor553@northlandcompassion.com

I read In the book Externally Focused Church by Rick Rusaw something that goes along these lines. When unemployment reaches 7% we think of that as trouble in the economy. But "unemployment" in the Church runs 80%. We often have 20% of the people doing all the work. That is a paraphrase of what he said but I think it is very true. I also don't think it is because the 80% don't want to be doing anything. I think it is because as Rick also points out. They have not come to the intersection of their passion and purpose. Given enough chances in various ministries they will find as the scriptures say" The good works that God has prepared in advance for us to do." Then they will get busy with a passion and a purpose. We often keep them so busy "in" the Church and its 4 walls that they are burned out and hardly looking for anything else to do. So they might never come to that God Blessed intersection of passion and purpose.

In brief, you should know the following about us: We are a Missouri non-profit corporation recognized as a  Federal 501c3 Non-Profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible. We have several people who are involved in reaching those people who society in many ways has cast aside. We are currently reaching out to people who have found themselves homeless, incarcerated or hurting. We are working with incarcerated Teens trying to show them that we care, and more importantly that God cares. We are working in recovery programs and we are working with other non-profits to reach the homeless. We are not waiting for a once a year mission trip, we go on mission trips EVERY WEEK! They may be only a few miles away but they are mission trips! Come with us and see if you can find your passion and purpose! Come with us and lift up the name of Jesus!

In Isaiah it says: And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday Isaiah 58:10 NASB

The following pictures are with NCM volunteers working alongside of Feed the People ministries.  Jerry Whisler of FTP has been instrumental in NCM reaching out to the hurting.

Reading a tract he was given! FTP gives out tracts with every meal. NCM  hands out Bibles and The Gospel of John  along with clothing etc.
